Google Apps is a Web-based productivity suite. This class will empower you to work with the various Apps contained within the free Google Apps suite including Google Docs, Google Drive, and Gmail. Learn how to effectively use Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, how to share files and work on them collaboratively. We will cover how to upload Excel and Word files and convert them to Google Docs and Google Sheet files and vice versa. Please setup a Google account prior to attending this course if you do not already have one. You can do that by accessing this site: https://accounts.google.com/SignUp
This will create a Gmail account and your Google Drive account which gives you access to all of the Google Apps! Please make sure to bring your username and password with you to class! This is a hands-on session, so bring your laptop! (If you don’t have one, we will have 16 laptops available for use during the session).
About the presenter:
Linda Muchow has been employed at the Alexandria Technical & Community College since 1992. She is an Alex Tech alumnus with a computer background and is currently pursuing a Business degree through ATCC and Southwest Minnesota State University. Linda has obtained the Microsoft Office Specialist Master Certificate.
