ABOUT PITCH YOUR PLAN

WHAT

Pitch Your Plan is a business competition open to current or prospective entrepreneurs who present a for-profit business idea. Pitch your ideas for the chance at a community prize package!

WHO

Eligible business concepts are strictly limited to a business start-up, a second or third location of an existing business elsewhere, a significant expansion of a current business with a new concept, product or service line, or a relocation of an existing business that is currently outside of Douglas County. Eligible business concepts must locate to within Douglas County.

HOW

There will be 3 phases, first fill out an online application with 6 simple questions. Up to 10 applicants will advance to phase 2, building the business plan. Up to three entries will then advance to phase 3 and deliver a shark-style presentation to the judges.

HOW IT WORKS

Phase1

DEADLINE: January 25

Answer 6 simple questions to convince us you have what it takes. Up to 10 submissions will advance to phase 2.
Phase2

DEADLINE: March 15

Work with a business consultant to build your business plan. Up to 3 entries will advance.
Phase3

DEADLINE: May 2

Pitch Your Plan in a shark-tank style presentation to the judges on stage.

ANNOUNCING THE WINNER

Join us Tuesday, May 7, 2019 as we announce the winner at a luncheon held at the BoatHouse at the Legacy of the Lakes Museum.
