Find Your Place in the Alexandria Area
Getting connected to a community can take time, but you don’t have to navigate it alone.
How it works
Neighborhood Navigators meets quarterly throughout the year. Each gathering offers a different way to experience the Alexandria Area – from community events and local traditions to conversations with area leaders and relaxed social activities.
After registering, you’ll be matched with a small group of participants and local Navigators. Before the first gathering, you’ll receive an email with information about your group, orientation, and everything you need to get started.
The more you participate, ask questions, and share your interests, the more you’ll gain from the experience.
October: Orientation & Community EXPO
Begin the program by meeting your Navigators and fellow participants, then explore community resources, organizations, and opportunities at the EXPO.

January: Trivia + Traditions Night
Enjoy a fun, relaxed evening learning about local history, traditions, and community favorites while getting to know your group.

April: Coffee with Community Leaders
Connect with local leaders, hear their perspectives, and learn more about the people and organizations helping the Alexandria Area grow and thrive.

July: Summer Community Adventure
Wrap up the program with a family-friendly community adventure or a tour featuring local restaurants, wineries, and breweries.
