The Alexandria Area Economic Development Commission (AAEDC) has released its 2024 Impact Report, highlighting a year marked by significant investment, collaborative problem-solving, and meaningful support for businesses and communities across Douglas County. The report showcases more than $103 million in regional capital investment, new job creation, business applications, and the continued expansion of AAEDC’s entrepreneurial and small-business ecosystem. It also reflects the organization’s commitment to long-term strategic priorities: business retention, coordinated regional action, and a stronger environment for both established companies and new ventures.

Throughout the year, AAEDC advanced major redevelopment and housing projects, strengthened childcare capacity, partnered with regional organizations, and engaged community members through events like the Workforce Summit, Job Fairs, and Business & Industrial Appreciation Day (BIAD).
